Help Broken?

Sorry if again i am posting in the wrong place or reposting a topic thats already been covered, as i could not find anything that related here (maybe i didn't look hard enough.)

i am in dire need of an android guru to help me.

After whittering on about how many problems my Samsung was giving me ect and trying to fix by re flashing my phone with official software via odin, i have encountered the error "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please Select Recovery mode in kies and try again"

i have tried to connect to kies and after 5 or so minutes i am told that connecting is a problem and that i should reboot my phone and try again, ive tried this a good few times now and it will not work. i can still get into download mode, i know i can recover via odin i just do not know how.


any time spent reading this and/or help given is greatly appreciated and would go a long way towards saving me from an exploding headache, thanks in advance

What stage or steps were you at when you received that message? Which firmware package are you trying to flash?

im not sure what stage odin got to when it was flashing, but i know on my phone the progress bar was only about a tenth in maybe less, i recieve this message now anytime i turn my GS2 on, its the only thing that comes up unless i boot in download mode :/
