browser adblocker suggestions?

Hi,

I have a samsung galaxy s5.

I use chrome as my default internet browser.

I would like an adblocker that does not require a rooted phone that will block ads as I browse the internet.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Before I rooted my S4, I used Adblock Plus (ABP). For wifi, it's good to go as-is. For use on the public data network, you'll need to set ABP as a proxy by either modifying your existing APN or adding a new one. Directions are on their website.

Thanks for the suggestion Mr. Lucky.

ABP is not available through the Google Play store. This means I have to enable app installations from "unknown sources".

Is this likely to void my warranty?

Thanks,

I've never heard of any instance where installing 3rd party apps voided a warranty. It's built into the operating system, and works out of the box. You would have to do alter the OS in some way: unlock the bootloader, root, or flash a ROM to void your warranty.
