so in the many years of using android devices ive never seen this happen but i think my browser has been hijacked. ive had this happen before on a pc but never a mobile device. when ever i go to certain sites but not every site no matter what browser im using it will forward me to a different site and give a bunch of pop ups. these are sites im familiar and have been going to for a long time on my devices and they have never done this and my phone doesnt do this to me so i can only asume theres something up with my tablet. i have tried looking through my install apps to see if theres anything weird in there and dont see anything. ive also removed anything ive added recently and that doesnt help so idk what to try next. ive downloaded a copy anti virus/malware apps and no luck.

Definitely is a trend on the internet....

I had trouble with my Desktop PC using Firefox just this week.
As much as it pained me to do so, I had to clear the entire cache of history, passwords, temporary files........... but it fixed it.

Also, I have noticed that DuckDuckGo seems to have disappeared and is no longer working? It has given me 404 errors for over two weeks now.

Working for me right now on my laptop (and it's the default search engine in some of my mobile browsers, where I've not noticed any problems).
