What choices are there for a browser, other than the "stock" browser that comes with the Samsung Mesmerize?

I remember that Miren, xscope, Skyfire, Dolphin HD and Opera Mobile (not opera mini) were the ones I liked.. currently using Dolphin HD. Open the market and search for Browser - there are lots of good alternative browsers. I tried Firefox mobile but it doesn't seem any good yet, it's still beta.

I liked the bookmarks folder set-up with my BB Curve in the stock browser. You can set up specific folders to organize. Haven't seen that with any of the above-mentioned browsers. Bolt also has that feature, but no android version. I downloaded Skyfire last night, and will work with that for a bit.

All of the above, plus Firefox. FF is not yet ready for prime time, unfortunately. I find myself using Opera and Dolphin the most. Haven't picked "one" yet.

I discovered with the 2.2.1 Froyo update that browser bookmark folders can now be set up: Examples I have set up would be: Entertainment; News: Sports; TV; Weather, etc. Then you can place specific website bookmarks into the respective folders. No "grap/move" feature like in BB's but still a nice new feature. (At least I assume that it is new, as I did not see that feature in 2.1. So, the stock browser works very well for me.

It has been a toss-up for me until recently. Dolphin HD, at least for now, is a solid leader over the others, IMO.

There are numerous "firefox-like" add-ons that you can download to increase functionality to your liking. Among my favorites, you can download bookmarks to your SD card for back-up, screen capture, pdf view, download pdf, the list goes on.

The feature I enjoy the most, however, is the true full screen view. It is also faster than the stock browser.

Is anyone else unable to install Firefox?

When I try, I get "insufficient storage available."

Look under your stock task manager, or whatever app you use to check system stats. What is your available RAM, internal storage, and SD storage?

I dont see how anyone could like anything other than the stock Mez browser. none of the ones listed were near as fast. Plus the stock one is so streamlined and easy to use

Again, YMMV, but most users report much faster speeds from Dolphin and a few other 3rd party browsers. They also offer better customization tools that the stock browser.

Plus, its one of the benefits of the Android platform that what works for you may not work for someone else, but that doesn't mean you're using the wrong stuff.
