In Firefox...

You cannot turn history off. Use private browsing or clear history manually.

Have you turned off search suggestions in settings?

There is presently no way to set a default homepage.

You can... Only setback is, that you have to delete your app data...

In Settings there is a checkbox for "History saved" described as "Disabled clears history immediately and also disables closed tab undo". There's another checkbox for "History clear on exit", and a regular clear history now command too.
