That is not a feature that is supported currently in many android devices. You can only advance, play and pause tracks. Some manufacturers have incorporated it into their phones and the latest version of Android OS (4.3) will support additional track information (artist name, album, etc.). However, no version of bluetooth that I am aware of on iOS or Android supports browsing tracks and playlists via a vehicle's stereo system. By browsing I mean bringing up a list of tracks on your stereo's screen and scrolling or selecting. Not sure if that is what you were referring to?

Hi Tim,

Thank you very much for your response! I did register, so I can now take ownership of my original post. :)

Yes, I believe you correctly understood my issue. However, it sounds like you are suggesting that iOS (which, if I'm not mistaken, is the iPhone operating system) would not be compatible with the car stereo system either, but as I mentioned, I was able to browse and select tracks and playlists from the car's stereo monitor with my iPhone. I had another option appear on the touch screen called "Tracks", which would bring the list of tracks in the playlist currently playing, and from there I could further go back to playlists to select a different playlist to play. This option does not light up with the SGS4.

Well, this is really just an "FYI", since it sounds like there is no solution to my problem at this time. It's just sad that the Galaxy would fall short on this front, since in almost everything else, I much prefer the Galaxy to iPhone. The one thing I haven't tried was to connect through USB, but I suppose this will not make a difference, right?

Thanks again!
