Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't aluminum block certain transmissions, like NFC?

i believe it does, it could also cause other transmissions to be blocked.

Some of those look good, but I actually prefer keeping my white battery cover, with an additional back cover to protect the phone.

The antenna is INSIDE the phone and putting an aluminum back would cut the RF capabilities by a good bit.

I ordered one of these to try out on the back of a blue SG3. I am curious to see if it causes the same issues as the metal back covers did on the back of the Galaxy Nexus.

If you plan on using GPS or the NFC, covers like this might not be for you.

I was planning on seeing what a blue phone with a brushed aluminum back and clear TPU case would look like, but the no GPS issue might be a deal breaker.

I know it's not real leather, but I'd like to have one of the black leather ones. Seems like it would keep the phone from sliding around on a table or desk.
