I searched through this particular forum and couldn't find something similar.
I just bought a cheapy Craig BT Keyboard Case for an Ipad-2 (Only $30 at CVS). Made sure it paired and worked, then, ripped it out of that case, because 1: I had one already, and 2: It wouldn't fit anyway (Aren't they the same dimensions anyway? Weird I thought.). Well, whoa is me. It works, alright. Just, no Shift, no function, nothing. Surely, I can swipe some random driver on there and be good, right? Everything seems to work except shift, and it's literally killing me. The search buttons work, the media buttons work, but shift refuses. When I pair it with the tab, it tells me to switch to the Samsung keyboard, which I do. By that logic, is there a keyboard in the app store designed to work with cheap keyboards?
Also, if you plan on doing what I did and taking it out of it's case, be careful. It took a lot of careful pulling and cutting with a razor knife at the ridiculous adhesive they used. The back of it didn't come out well, but it's in one piece, and the soft rubber can be melted smooth again. It's just easy to nick a little too far and puncture the soft rubber it's made from. I only did it a little and once, so just be careful.
Even if Shift never works, not a bad buy for only $30, as I have other devices to use it on as well.
