BT SmartTalk

I was offered BT SmartTalk by BT, free of charge..I can not see any discussion about it in the forum.Anybody using it ?

Hi, I downloaded the BT SmartTalk app some months ago. Activation was straightforward.

I haven't yet made any calls using the app but have taken the view that as it's free I might as well have it available to use as and when required particularly if I ever need to make 0800/0845 calls or calls from abroad.

There are a number of independent reviews/write-ups to be found if you google BT SmartTalk, all of which echo the 'why not, it's free' attitude.

I've got BT Infinity with the included calls package so I can use SmartTalk to call 0845/0870 numbers AND 0800 numbers. For instance, my recovery service (the AA) has a freephone number (0800) which obviously is not free with a mobile so that could come in handy (though I try not to break down ... ).

I suppose I could also use it if my mobile's included minutes were running out but that almost never happens .....
