bTunes Support from Afar

Hey Guys,
Trying to help a buddy out with a Droid who just downloaded bTunes. I would download the app myself to help, but I'm not in to paying for an app to figure out a problem for someone else and then just delete it--so I will ask you who already have it!

He says he has successfully loaded the music on to his phone (I don't know how he knows this yet), but that the music player doesn't "see" the music.

I realize that's kind of a flimsy question, but I didn't know if there was a common issue with this getting this started that you all already knew about. Any ideas that I can pass along to him?

i did not realize that actually. I may give that a try since I didn't really get a reply. Is this even a popular app? Or is doubleTwist the usual way to go? I've never bothered to sync with iTunes cause I have an iPod.

I had the same exact issue with bTunes. I've used DoubleTwist since it came out, but wanted to try out bTunes.

From my experience DoubleTwist is the way to go for now.

I've found you need to open the default Android music player first, and let it index your music on your SD card. When that's done, go to bTunes and choose "Manual Refresh" from the menu.

Just tried that and it worked. Glad to know I really didn't waste my money.

Hey guys, I have the HTC incredible and I am experiencing the same problem. Btunes will not recognize my music. It is not on the SD card, because I only have a two gig card in there. I put about 6 gigs of music on the phone's main memory. I tried loading the stock player and letting it index my files. It finds the music. Then I go into btunes and there is still nothing registering.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well fellas, unfortunately there is no solution to my problem right now. I just read on the dev's facebook page that he currently can't find a way to get the Incredible to find music in the phone's internal storage. Interesting to me, because the stock player seems to find it without a problem. Hopefully he will fix it. Guess I'll just get a refund for now.

^^Wow that sucks. It sucks having 6 gigs of internal memory, only a 4gb sd card to put music on. Hopefully the developer will provide an update soon.

Yeah it's a little odd that they gave an 8GB internal hard drive to a device when none of the apps can read it, but there you go.
