[BUG] All programs > Search

Click on All programs > Click on Search button, type a character
The filter does not go away even after you have exited the menu.
Any other way to show all programs without restart?

Is it only mine or is it a bug in Hero?

Hmmm, interesting. Looks like a bug.

When I try it, it comes up with a request to select Hand Cent or MESSAGES to complete task and exits out of the programs menu.

This doesn't seem to happen on my phone, when I close the menu and reopen all the programs are shown again. Have you tried clicking the cross on the right hand side of the search box?

Type a character, like 'A' or 'S' on the search box, it immediately filters the apps by Name.

But the problem is it doesn't seem to go away!!! Until I do a restart!

Isn't it strange?

If you have installed chompSMS or handcent, that is most likely the cause. If you uninstall it and use the native SMS app. The problem goes away.
