Help Buggy Atrix Touchscreen?

I have found the touchscreen to be very annoying. Most of the time when I text, the keys just seem to respond very sluggishly and very periodically the screen starts going haywire and does not respond to my touches at all. I would say on average (sometimes less in a day and sometimes more) the screen will kind of freeze up and not respond to my finger motions about 1/10 or 1/15 times I try. Once or twice it has acted as if there is a ghost finger and completely goes crazy. I need to sleep the phone and wake it up for it to start acting normal again.

Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening? Are there anyways to fix this besides completely replacing the phone? Is this a problem with the phone itself?

On a separate note, I bought this phone from Radio Shack. Does anyone know the exchange/replacement policy for a product from a different Radio Shack?

Im getting this same exact problem...and on top of that the vibration on key presses dies in the middle of typing, and when I give a firm tap to the back of the phone, it works again. I plan on replacing.

I have had the exact same problem. First day, first phone, screen shaked, froze me out and sometimes did a whole bunch of stuff on its own and the voice command function kept activating itself. Took it back for a new one same day. Next Phone worked great but the flash was not working correctly. Battery life was awesome. Decided to take it back to get one more new one (yesterday). Took it back today for good as new one had same problem as the first one. Too bad really liked the phone. Should have spent less time making docks for the thing and made sure the phone worked better before bringing it out. I was really hanging out for this phone. So sad
