Help Buggy galaxy gio??

Has anyone had problems with the Samsung Galaxy Gio?
I got it 3 weeks ago.
On several occasions I have tried to make calls/text and the phone says 'SIM CARD NOT REGISTERED' and I can't use the phone at all until I turn it off, pull out the battery, pull out the simcard and then re-insert it to get it working.

It started vibrating on its own the other day, and kept opening a google search bar (I do not have a data plan, and was not connected to the internet). It was vibrating nonstop and nothing would shut it off until I literally pulled out the battery (even the power button wouldn't work! It was like a dysfunctional Furby.)

Also, the gps only works when i am connected to wifi...not sure if this is normal.

Oh, and the battery lasts about 20 hours. 20 hours!! I find that a bit ridiculous.

I'm going to exchange this asap. Just wondering if I should bother sticking with the Galaxy Gio or if they are all a bit screwy.

You just got a bad unit, each company has some from time to time, I would suggest you to get a refund and get the same phone at another store not in the same area, so if the store that sold you the bad unit has a full batch of the faulty ones, getting it from another store may increase your chance of getting a good one.
