Root Bugless Beast 1.1 Is out

oh snap I was waiting for this. I might have to take the plunge from 7.6 now.

Too bad I can't do it from work:( 3g is no good in my building:mad:

1.1 is stable for me with the DroidROM kernel @ 1100. It was not stable with Chevy's kernel at the same speed; live wallpapers and the home app force closed nonstop and the system froze and rebooted multiple times.

Thanks Decus, appreciate the clarification. I'd love to try either of these, if the download from AO would actually complete....I've tried both several times, and the download keeps cancelling :(

I'm not going with this one. 7.8 still very stable.
I like the kernel options, but this offers more instances of potential instability. Now it's not, "1.1 is unstable" it's "1.1 is unstable, with the (so and so kernel)". I think this will be more difficult to troubleshoot bugs for Pete.

Bugless Beast Change Log:
From pete's changelog:

Version 1.1
-Added updated version of live wallpapers
-Added G1 Sound Recorder App (works great & matches the android UI)
*Recordings are stored in the Music App playlist titled "My Recordings"*
-Completely Stock Kernel 550 MHz (choose overclock patcher after install)
-Must install different kernal to enable wifi tether

OPTIONAL Kernels: (rename to update.zip and install using instructions below)
Stock 550 MHz (Already Included, Does not support Wifi Tether)
t3hSteve 600 MHz (recommended)
DroidMod's Latest 1.2 GHz (a.k.a. Sholes.info)
ChevyNo1's 10 Slot 1.2 GHz
ChevyNo1's 10 Slot 1.25 GHz

i have steves kernel, gonna put it on my phone later today, 550 is sooo slow compared to all the over clocks, obviously, but wow!

I dont get why he took away the oc kernel as standard, isnt that more or less what makes the beast different from the beauty in the first place??

+2 for me. I installed 1.1, that went fine, then I tried installing Chevy's Kernel, those put me in an endless boot. So I restored, put 1.1 back on and intalled DroidMod's latest kernel, well, it booted okay, but after about 10 seconds the desktop froze, then it went black and then rebooted, and it did this every time even after a battery pull. So I put 1.0 back on and all is well again, including my stable as a rock 1 Ghz OC and my live wallpapers :) I wish the battery life were better on v.1 though.

From my experience, the live papers love to eat up at the battery. I rebooted w/o the live papers and noticed the battery lasted longer between charges.
Yesterday, after 7 hours of being off the charger, the battery used 10% juice.:D Granted, I was surfing a little and bookmarking web sites, but most of it was sleep/standby mode, which btw I keep @400max250min. I run it at 1ghz but the other profiles are all set with 400max250min. Temps are fine by me too, 30-35*c/running and when I awake the phone , its a cool 23-28*c.
I pushed 44*c once using trapster, but that was on sholes 2.0.6 , I tink?.

I don't know if its just the live wallpapers. When I had 7.8 and 1.0 w/o live wallpapers my battery life seemed shitty. I was barely making it through the day, when normally i'm above 40-50%

I agree. Im on 1.0 w/o live walls. Im at 50% battery right now, after 13+ hrs since last charge. I am usually still around 70%. My usage really hasnt changed lately. I still like 1.0 though, very smooth and fast. Probably will hold off on 1.1.

I just loaded 1.1 from 0.7.5 and it ROCKS! I love the live wallpapers, and it's super stable. I even donated to Pete for the hard work.

But the features say that the G1 Voice Recorder app was added. I can't find it anywhere. Any ideas? Has anyone here found it and used it and if so, where is it? Thanks!

ok, moved to chevys ten kernel, didn't know steve just decided to do 600 and thats all, so its running smooth, i am 900mhz, its fast, its nice, live wallpaper nexus is going, its just fun to look at.

Never mind, I found it hiding as "Sound Recorder" in the app drawer. Hiding in plain sight! :D

Now, to figure out why I still have a camera shutter sound... ;)
