Root Bugless Beast (Android 2.1) is out now!

downloading now. Pretty good timing. I planned on doing a complete wipe and reinstall as it was anyways. I will let everyone know how it is running once it is installed.
 
this looks really good but im sticking with sholes, their system is fantastic, and they dont seem to be lacking any features
 
Nevermind, this ROM looks nice, but right now there is no multitouch OR zoom buttons in the browser, rendering it useless.

Anyone wanna run over the differences between BB 2.0.1 and BB 2.1? So far, all I see is:
- Desk Clock finally works in Fahrenheit
- Live Wallpapers
- Contacts App
- Apps removable via Manage Applications
- No smoked glass

I'm still reinstalling apps but so far it seems significantly faster than 2.0.1 both booting up and switching between applications. Haven't had too much time to play yet though.
 
Get the smoked glass back in there and I will try it.. I don't care about a multitouch browser since I use Dolphin.
 
Man im excited about this, im sure pete will patch the multitouch soon. Plus they still have a few minor bugs in it, so i dont think im loading it on my phone right now.
 
Installed it, played w/it, already nandroiding back to 8.7 w/t3hSteve's updated kernel.

There's no autobrightness setting in 2.1! Just not there, according to Pete. Huh? That was my "game-over" moment, aside from the other issues noted above.

2.1 just has very little allure in it's current form - nowhere near as smooth or reliable as 2.01 + 2.1 apps IMHO.

I think now I'm finally really going sit on my hands for a while and wait until the Droid 2.1 update comes out, and see what the devs do with that...

Unfortunately that's a bug with every 2.1 ROM

Guess I'll look at the BB 2.1 when OTA 2.1 hits.
 
Anyone been able to get the Weather portion of the "News and Weather" widget to work? I have try enabling cell towers, turned GPS on/off/etc. GPS seems to be working fine on Google Maps...

**EDIT** Nevermind. It came on after a while...I guess it just takes time to propagate or or something...
 
ye, gods, I just finished doing 0.7.5 last week, and now I have to wipe and start all over with this 2.1?

No thanks. I have too much going on to go through this over and over again.

I'll wait.
 
Hey guys,

I'm an Rooting Newb, and just rooted yesterday, and used the 2.0.5 ROM because of the ease of the SM Updater8 to root directly from the phone. How does this ROM compare to the 2.0.5 ROM? What I notice right away, is that this one included working live wallpapers. THanks in advance!
 
Amazing. Right when I installed the previous version yesterday (must have missed it by a couple hours).

Oh well. I'll wait until some reviews come in.
 
This is easily the best ROM available, you all need to check this out if your deciding. Its has it all!
