Root Building From Source For The LG Leon

im currently setting up a dual boot environment on my pc using win7 & Lubuntu,it was recommended from a guide i was reading about building CM from source.now,provided i setup my environment & am able to do all the basics,where do i go from there?if anyone can contribute or leave a link or info or whatever you can add to assist,id appreciate it.im thinking about building euphoria for our leon.ive never built from source but im a quick learner.i dont want to make any promises i cannot fulfill,so i will leave it at im going to try.
from what i can gather,once my environment is setup,i need to use github to find our device tree,& go from there.please bear with me as i am very new to this.

You wanna port a rom or build your own rom? If you wanna build i found you this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1801690 never test it but seems a good post!

Have you had any luck? Are you compiling from source and do you have any errors.
