If you have an Android 4.x device such as the Samsung Galaxy S3 with the bump application installed, and someone bumps you, can they read the information off the SD card? We are looking to deploy Android in our enterprise and thought this might be a security concern. thanks
Not everyone will have it. Most people have iphones and blackberries, but we want to give them choices. So with NFC they can share data even if sd card is encrypted?
I've bumped photos, contact info, and apps between different phones, and have only received/sent the thing being bumped. Are you talking about something more complex than just seeing what's been bumped (like something in the internal or SD card storage) ?
Bumping does not let you read other people's storage. It just lets the other device recognize the NFC chip on the other end, and lets it know where to send the file. Kind of like bluetooth, but instead of going to a list of available connections and choosing one, you bump the phones so they pair.
