Bunch of questions...

So I just got one of these today and I am liking it so far, I have a question about some things involving it though.

First of all, the micro SD card is not inside the phone, but when I look at some files inside the phone has a folder that says "micro sd" but that's not a big deal. This phone was a hand me down, and I think the previous owner kept his micro sd, which is fine I can buy another one. I was just wondering if that folder should be a problem?

Also, how do I get personalized ringtone sounds and ringtones, wallpapers and such? My friend told me "Oh just find them online and edit them to have the part of the song or sound you want, then send it to your phone" well I am not exactly sure what that means. Heh, any help would be great.

I have a yahoo and a gmail account, how do I access both of them using the e-mail app? I am seeings a list that says "accounts" yet only yahoo is on there, how do I add gmail?

Is there a way to delete apps? There is a lot of apps on the apps menu and I don't want most of them.

A friend of mine has one of these and he somehow has a Super Nintendo emulator on it...how do you get Super Nintendo games on this phone? Can you get other ones too? Like Gameboy or DS or 3D consoles?

And how do I make it stop automatically putting a period when I don't type for like 2 seconds while sending a text? That is annoying.

1. You shouldn't have any problems with out an SD card. The real folder when you do have an SD card is external_SD.
2. As far as ringtones I use an app called Ringtone Maker by ringtone Inc. So far its the best app I've found for notifications and ringtones. And its free.
3. Unfortunately at&t likes bloatware, unless you root your stuck with a lot of crap app's.
4. I have a Psx, gbc, gba, snes, and N64 app all from a secondary market called slideme. I downloaded it from a news article in this app. Its in the news from yesterday with a little picture of super Mario 2. Most are free too. But only for two weeks so get on it.
5. And seriously WTH is with these periods popping out of nowhere?!?! Sorry but this is the only one I can't help you with. Enjoy

Thank you! I will look for that app.

Also, it says I have 13.02GB free on my phone, but there is no SD card in there, is this the storage on the phone itself? Is it safe to save things there or should I put it all on an SD card?

And I can't seem to find this emulator app...could you perhaps link it to me? I am new to this site heh sorry.

Yes that is the storage on your phone. Feel free to store what you please in there. I try and put most stuff on my phone itself.

I am out and about and can't figure out how to link in the app but when I get home I will do it on my PC for you.

How do I allow my phone to download apps from other sources?

**EDIT**

Also, what is this Kies firmware thing? Is that how I update my phone? I used to have an iPhone so I am just used to plugging it into the computer and clicking the update button. How do I go about doing that with this?

To enable your phone to download app's from other places like the amazon app store and other websites just go into your settings. Select applications then check the box that says allow unkown sources. And your good to go.

Also, kies doesn't work in the US yet. It will probably come with the next update, and you just update through the settings menu, last choice is software update. No need to connect to a computer.

Good info, thanks so much for the help!

One last thing hah, I am looking at the website and I see the list of "oids" to download, N64oid, SNESoid, etc. Now how do I actually get them on my phone lol? Do I download them on my PC and plug my phone into the USB or what? I don't want to mess my phone up.

Also, I clicked on N64oid and saw this

"N64oid is a port of Mupen64plus to Android, along with Ari64's ARM dynarec (and gles2N64 as an option)."

Do I need to download a different program in order to use these emulators?

When you went to the link I.gave earlier you need to click.on the link that says 'slide me'. Then on the right side of the page it has like an at&t bar code scanner and a download like for an app called SAM. As long as you can download from unknown sources it will pop up as a download. Install it with package installer. Then it acts as a secondary app market. You download the emu's from there. Then just install them like any other app. Then you just need to provide rom's and you're good to go.
