Does anyone know what kind of wire the LG V40+ comes with? I know it's a Type-C connector, but I can't find any details about whether it's 2.0, 3.0, or 3.1. Would like to know so I can order a 3.1 ahead of time if needed.

yeah i tried looking as well and could not find any info. i did find a type c oem cable for the g6 on LG's website. people have said that it works for the v40 as well.

I don't know if this will help, but here is a photo of the label on the included cable.

BTW, could you explain the differences of the 3 you mentioned. I believe different cables can charge & transmit at different speeds, but I've never heard the differences quantified. Actually, I'm not using the included cable. I'm using a thicker one that I used with my previous QC3 phone. It seems to charge a little faster.(I haven't really tested)

I believe he is referring to usb 2.0, 3.0, and 3.1. Higher number transfers faster.
 
I was thinking about the request for the cable type. Isn't it more important to know the specs of the port? Then you can purchase a cable that matches the port. (I did look up the port. I found it's USB 2.0 but compatible with 3.1)
