Yes.

Please give us details so we don't have to ask questions and guess.

I know that rooting can be frustrating but it's rather helpful if you want us to continue investing the time.

I don't know what busybox you installed or how, so there's no way to tell what's up.

And if that doesn't work, go to the nandroid backup you made before installing busybox and start over with that one.

for the confusion, my device is an HTC One M8, it is rooted. i used a couple different busybox apps all with the same results. The phone just resets, and i dont have a nandroid backup. If there is any more info you need let me know

I moved this up to the root section where other rooters could see it.

I think that you're only option is to choose a rom and flash it.

You may choose a stock or stockish rom, or you may save trouble with one of the several advanced Sense roms. For that, many of us are running the ViperOneM8 rom. It's already rooted, busybox installed and is easily modified without resorting to flashing.

There's also a selection of Senseless roms - including an option in the Viper installer to leave it off and roms made from completely different codebases, such as CM.

Once things are basically set up, make a nandroid backup and then again before flashing anything.

I was able to get it working by using a different app called busybox on rails all I did was restart into recovery and it installed the files there and now it work great
