Back in the day, (back in the droid x days) when one rooted, Busybox was installed. I never used it, at least that I knew of. After more phones, more roots, more roms etc I forgot about busybox.
Needless to say, I never installed busybox knowingly on my devices.
On a whim last night I started looking into busybox and I thought perhaps with some of the last batch of issues I have had with my note II, had botched (bootlooping Nexus 7 2012 4g on 4.3 OTA. It was rooted, no busybox installed) and Nexus 4 same thing. Both required a nandroid to get working again and still no OTA. Both using TWRP (not sure on version off hand)
So, could not having busybox installed on rooted devices cause the OTA to fail and bootlooping?
