I would really like to know, how to make an animated button press or something similar,

i have a button, which i want to fade to blue on press, then back again

You can make a thread and make a series of bitmap images.then in the thread have it scroll through your images on click.

I'd look at the colorfilter and animation classes. No need for multiple bitmaps or a thread.
