Buying a Evo for UK use?

Hi everyone,
at present I have a HTC desire but want an evo, I was thinking of buying one from eBay to use in the UK.
Can anyone think of some obvious problems with this idea?
I know we only have up to 3.5 g but that's ok...

99% of the world runs on GSM. The HTC EVO is CDMA. It likely will not work in the UK.
