Help Buying a new Battery question

I was thinking of buying a new battery for my Zte Racer which is Li-Ion 1100 mAh but I see that you can buy ones that are 1700 mAh. So are these safe to use on your phone?

Yes, these are safe. Just make sure the description of the battery doesn't say it's thicker.
My last phone had a 1300ma battery. And i had the option to buy a 1750ma or a 3500ma. However, the 3500 was very think and it even came with a new battery cover, since it made the phone thicker.
