Help Buying an ex display phone

Hello all, I am looking to buy a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge in excellent condition. However it is an ex display model.
I know display models are constantly plugged in even when the battery is full and imagine it has been like that for a number of months. Would this harm the battery and would I get less battery life than normal because of this? Would you avoid? Thanks!

Battery should be OK. But I'd be more concerned about screen burn as it's an AMOLED. Demo phones might have been on continually at full brightness, probably 24/7 for months on end, And I've seen burned screen Samsungs in showrooms, S5 and S6, with all the icons, notification bar and everything permanently burned into the AMOLED. Whatever they're offering you, you want to check the screen very carefully. LCDs on the other hand they're OK, they don't burn-in.

This is an example of what a burned Samsung AMOLED looks like.

And it's permanent, only fix is to replace the screen....WTF!

I'd be more concerned about the functionality of the phone.
If it's actually a retail demo model, chances are it's lacking the hardware to use for phone calls/text/etc........
I believe most Samsung phones that are retail demo models have an "X" @ the end of the given model number.
If this is the case, don't waste your time & money...............
