Any way to bypass the activation screen on an unactivated phone used for wifi only?

Just activate it over boost with one month plan and click pay later, it will be activated and you wont get activation nag on every boot,
this is the safest way to bypass or get rid of it.

I really don't want to activate it as it could require activation again upon any resets. I have now rooted it and the messages have disappeared (for the present).

Message came back.
Went to Settings > Apps > All > "com.qualcomm.qcrilmsgtunnel" and used freeze (with Link2SD).
Message gone so far.
