bypass "create contacts under account"

How do I streamline the "add to contacts" process? It is confusing to people when they try to put their number in my phone, and one of the only things my iphone did better.

I sync everything to google so I don't want it to ask me if I want to create the contacts under the phone account or the google one every time.

It would also be great if I could bypass having to click "create new contact" after pressing "add to contacts". I almost never want to add a number to an existing contact. So this is two unnecessary clicks for saving a phone number. Is there a way to fix this, or is there an app that has it streamlined?

Due to the nature of Android, each phone is different. Touchwiz handles it differently than Sense and Vanilla. What phone do you have?

Sorry, I don't use Sony and never intend to. That reminds me of the old dumb phones "Add to phone" or "add to SIM." You can probably set a default in the menu of your contacts app.

I haven't used a Sony either, but you can check in the settings, it may be something that TouchWiz did not edit. For a Samsung, it should be in Contacts>menu button>settings>Save Contacts to>change from always ask to your gmail account. It may be similar for a Sony.

I solved this with the Quick Add app

the only fields it has are name and phone number, and when you hit the save button its done. It doesnt ask you any BS questions causing extra clicks. The new contact seemed to sync up to googlevoice after a little while.

The only problem is the xperia active screen is so tiny it cuts off a little under half the "save" button, but it still works. If anyone knows a better app, lets hear it.
