c811 - ota and altered device

This has been tough. I haven't been able to OTA and Verizon Update assistant sees my phone but reports that I am up to date.

Here's what I've done.

- Bought phone with M040
- Updated ota to M050
- Rooted with motochopper
- Uninstalled bloat with Titanium back up
- Used phone for almost a year, now this new most recent OTA seems to address major issues with the phone, wanted to install it.
- OTA fails (I'm sure because I've altered the device)
- unrooted
- rooted again to install flashify
- flashed cwm
- flashed M040 components
(via this thread)
- cleaned up in cwm (clearing caches, etc...)

Now I am stuck at M040 and still cannot update OTA. CWM is still installed but root has been removed. I really just want to get the last OTA even if I need to sacrifice root. Can anyone help? I've been searching all over for days and I just cannot find a straight answer.
