Help Cable tether

I started this in the anything root and don't think that's where I need to be.
I have a Evo 3D and a Motorola Xoom. Trying to cable tether and can't figure out what cable I need. It looks like I need a "Micro B" to "Micro B" and can't seem to find one.
Any ideas on what I need to do this?

why not use BT tether? do you HAVE to use a wired solution?

im also ASSuming you are rooted yes?

EDIT: im not sure if you can use a wired connection. i think you can only do it WIFI or BT?
