Calander isc files

My s9+ cannot recieve android calander items, eg appointments reminders ect from any other android device with the calander app.

I can send them but cannot recieve. Why?
Ive been trying to fix this for a few years now. Even with 2 phones, an S8 and my S9 they dont work.

All I recieve is a text script.

I can send the proper mms calander icon.

Please help.

i use google calendar and i have been able to switch phones and keep everything i had on my previous phone.....never had any issues. you can even add other calendars to it if you want so that everything is in one place.

-- If you look in your Settings >> Accounts >> Google menu, is syncing enabled for the Calendar entry?
-- Also, if you start up the Calendar app, in the hamburger menu in the upper left (three horizontal lines icon) is your email address showing properly? Are items like Events, Reminders, Birthdays, etc. checked so they're visible?

-- You also make references to text messaging. If look in you Settings >> Apps menu, find and open the entry for your texting app, look in the Permissions. Is the Calendar entry enabled?
