There's nothing in Google Calendar (that I can find) that lets you change default reminders to None. I would love to have this feature myself.
Calendar: Settings: Calendar Settings: click Notification: set pop up and email (if you want) to 0 minutes. SAVE.
That should do it.
Shofar
Open Calendar app, hit Menu, More, Settings, Reminder Settings and then set Set Alerts & Notifications to 'Off'.
I don't get a specific 'Notification' option. There is a 'Default Reminder time' option but there is no option for 0 minutes.
That's correct, you can't set the reminder default time to less than 5 minutes. However, there is a way around it if you don't want any reminders by default (like me since I have the small calendar "agenda" widget on my home page to show upcoming events so each time I look at the phone I see the event within 7 days and don't need an audible reminder). These solutions don't change the default reminder time. They turn reminders off altogether. So if I want to create an event with no reminder and another with a reminder, I won't actually get reminded when the second one is due.

No, it only affects Calendar reminders. Thanks, but doesnt this then mean that I won't get notified when an e-mail or text comes through??
Once that option is set, you can then go into any event and press Menu to add a reminder and then set the time for that one event.
You sure you want this though? They irritate me too but I still want them, I still want to just click my phone reminder to remind me because sometimes Im doing something when the reminder goes off and I completely forget about it till the reminder kicks in.Any idea if its possible to change the default to 'none', rather than 10 minutes, for reminders. Its just a little irritating having to cancel reminders every time I create a new appointment
thanks
