Root Calculator & Password Problems

So, I'm rocking the N5, rooted, stock, nothing fancy whatsoever. There are two mildly irritating quirks that I just can't see past. In the pictures attached, there are buttons missing from the calculator and passwords, while present, don't actually show up when typed. The passwords are being entered and do work, they just don't show. It appears top be a Chrome only problem, but I don't have saved passwords in Opera, Dolphin, or Firefox so I cannot confirm if it's a system wide thing. Everything else is functioning better than expected.

Any ideas?

Since you're rooted (and therefore have more troubleshooting options), I've moved this to the all things root forum.

My first suggestion requires no root though, I'd try wiping the data and cache from the calculator app.

If that doesn't work, I'd reboot to recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache

Good stuff, thank you. Unfortunately though, the first part of your suggestion didn't work, so I went on to part "B".... That didn't work because I couldn't boot into recovery. Not a huge problem as I did some sleuthing around the forums and found that I may have a corrupt custom recovery.

When I make it to my desktop, I'll try the wug method and see what happens. Maybe by opening me up to a few solutions, you solved an unknown problem. Thanks.
