Calendar app question

Xassy

Lurker
Could anyone recommend a decent calendar app? I want a simple one that's easy to use and one that works. I've had such issues with various apps and widgets!

Thank you.

So far, I've not found anything more than adequate. The problem with widgets, like Jorte, is that they suffer from the limitations of the underlying app. No floating appts, adding a repeating event causes it to repeat forever (no way to say "repeat every day for 5 days" or 'every week until labor day").

I'm going to try out an app called iRT Calendar, I think. The author says he's going to add floating events. I've emailed him a couple of questions and am waiting for an answer.

I really, really miss Datebk 6 on the PalmOS. It's better than any calendar app on any platform (including Mac and Windows). I can't wait for his Android version.

I really dislike Android's calender. I too miss the PalmOS's calender.

Does anyone know of any calender that can repeat like say... every 2nd sat of every other month? I know even the Palm stock calender could do it, I really miss and need that.

Ahhh... I can go on and on... but I think I'll leave it at that.

I bought an HTC Hero ,partly as a replacement for my ancient Psion 3mx. The calendar app on that knocks spots off the Android one and the Psion application is nearly 20 years old, even if my machine is slightly younger.

I just received the update to 2.1 and now all calendars are the same colour ( appointments on my google calendar used to be a different colour). I also can't edit the google calendar ones on my phone which is daft as well! At least it has a week view of sorts now, wow revolutionary stuff!

Really? Floating events are the reason I'm sticking with Palm... I really want to go a Droid, but I can't live without floating events.

I use the default HTC calendar app on my Evo but with Calendar Pad as my front end which shows text in the weekly & monthly views. It syncs well to Outlook 2010 via HTC Sync via USB. I don't use the floating events or more complex recurring events, but if I did, I would just manually put them in for the rest of the year until a better, more full featured calendar was created.

iRT Calendar is supposed to add floating events in an upcoming version. Looking forward to that (current user of iRT, convert from old Palm OS). Really like their "duplicate events" function.

I used Cal Pad until i found CalWidget. Giving this a shot and I think it's the one for me! They're free man, just download them all and see what you like!
