I am a new user of a DroidX. What is the best way to backup my calendar?

If you are referring to the calendar on your phone, as long as you are sync'ed with a google account (gmail) your calendar is automatically sync'ed to Google's servers.
Actually I prefer to edit my calendar on a PC where I have a keyboard and have it sync back to my phone.

Backing up to google server is fine. Just got a new Samsung Galaxy S II, I have been trying to sync all 20k historical as well as future events to the new phone.
Unfortunately , Google only synced current, previous 1 month, future events and previous repeating reminders e.g birthday.
All other historical events left out from the countless no of times sync i have carried out.
I did the clear data (from calendar storage), reboot. Factory reset but to no avail.
I managed to sync ALL calendar' events only once to the 1st Android phone.
Can someone help. really appreciate.
