Calendar Help Pls :)

I had an iPhone 4S and use apple iCloud. I made a mess of my samsung calendar, ugh! First, I tried adding a google account (I have one but I don't use it for anything but posting photos on google+). I originally thought that would be the way to sync my iCal with my samsung calendar. Well, that was okay until I used kies to sync my itunes music and accidentally had checked to sync ical.

Now my calendar on my phone has so many calendars its ridiculous. I tried deleting the google calendar from my iCal but all the events are still showing on my samsung.

Then I manually deleted the samsung kies events in my phone and unchecked the syncing option in kies so it won't sync my calendar again.

However, I still see ALL the events on my phone! lol I can't seem to get rid of them.

What is the best way to sync my iCal to my Samsung? I would love to add an iCloud account to the phone but I don't see an option for that.

Your help is greatly appreciated!

So you basically have two instances of every event? Go to menu>settings>applications>look under the "all" tab, and search for S Planner>open it and select "clear data". This will empty the calendar of everything, except the entries in your Google calendar.

Where is menu>settings>applications? Sorry but this is totally new to me. Unfrotunately I've been an apple person for years.

press the menu button (the capacitive button to the left of the home key), then a pop up menu will appear. Basically that's it's function for nearly all apps, to show you the extended settings. Or you can always go into the app drawer and look for the settings app. They go to the same place anyway.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4. When I'm in calendar or not, and I click menu button and then settings, I don't see "all" in either of those views. :(

Hey, I found it. Yay. it's all deleted! Now....if I don't want to use a google account to sync my phone calendar to my Mac iCal, is there a way to add an apple iCloud account so it syncs that way? Or am I forced to use google?

You're forced to use anything not related to Apple. Apple prevents non Apple devices from syncing to their cloud. You'd have to ditch almost every "iSomething" you ever used because Apple only allows iDevices to access those.

Oh ok, I just wanted to make sure before I tried that. I cleared everything in the Calendar application plus the storage. I added a gmail calendar to my mac, clicked sync on my gmail account on the phone and nothing shows up in the calendar on my phone. Ugh! They don't make it easy do they.

You have to get your Mac to sync to Google calendar properly first. Open Google Calendar on a browser on your Mac and see if the events are syncing to it fine. That's the more tedious part anyway, getting the events to it. From there to phone is just a flick of a switch.

You know what's weird is I can photoshop with channel masks and do all these fancy things yet I can't figure out why my phone calendar is blank, LOL! I'm hysterically laughing here because it seems ludicrous to me. I'll check this out tomorrow. Thank you for helping me out. I really appreciate it!
