I have configured OwnCloud on my server. Thanks to the very good Android CalDav Sync app, I can now keep my calendar on OwnCloud in sync with Google Calendar on my Android devices. It is easy to set up and works very well.
Two questions:
1. If I receive an invitation in the form of an .ics attachment, there doesn't seem to be anyway under Android to open (or import if you will) the invitation to the Calendar app. I use K9 for email, and it simply opens the .ics attachment. Does anyone know of any way to add an invite you receive to the Calendar app?
2. In the Calendar app, when adding an event, you can add Guests in the form of email addresses. When you save the event, Calendar says "Invites will be sent". I've tested this, though, and no invite mails appear to be sent. I check my mailserver logs and I don't find anything. Is the app using the Google smtp servers? That's OK, but I am wondering why this isn't working.
