Help Calendar issue

On my other Androidp phones I was able to have only the calendar on the phone w/o any sync'ing to Google.

On the D2 (froyo) it will not let me do that. Any ideas? I don't like using the sync to Google (personal preference).

Seetings -> Accounts -> XXXXXX@gmail.com -> unselect "sync calendar".

Not what I was asking. In other phones I was able to have appointments in the calendar w/o having any gmail accounts.

There are many calendar apps in the market youcan dowload.
Just get one of those and use it for your appointments. You wont have to worry about syncing it to a gmail account.
