So today after missing a second insanely important event in less than a month, I cursed my gnex and dusted off my iphone and powered it up again. I've put a lot of effort into my newest phone (gnex) and after a little not so great deja-vu with the iphone, I've decided to give it one more chance (I do like it overall).
Here's my dilemma...calendar notifications. I have a lot going on in my life and calendar notifications are the one thing that I actually need obnoxious popups in my face constantly... I use my gmail account for all my calendaring needs and my iphone played with it just fine. It would pop up with as many reminders as I set and I would see and hear them - whether I had the phone active or if it was idle (the screen would turn on, and I would see them in the lock screen).
I don't know what the deal is with my gnex. If google calendar works with anything it should be this phone! I know that I get some notifications - but I'm not convinced I get them all. More importantly, they are not as in your face as I need them to be. Does anyone hear me on this? Could really use some tips as sadly this really is a make it or break it thing for me with my Android adventure.
Thanks.
