Calendar question

I haven't taken the plunge yet, but have some questions on the Calendar application.

On DateBK on PalmOS, I can look at the week in a grid view, and easily drag and drop my different appointments/meetings around the grid. I find it invaluable for my work.

Will I be able to do that in the Android Calendar? Are there any 3rd party Calendar/scheduler apps that do this?

Thanks

If dragging your appointments around and it is a break-the deal ... then you will need to stay with your Palm ... The stock Calendar app doesn't do that and I have seen anything that would ...

Quick update.

Pimlico Software, that makes DateBK, has got a new Java based app called "Pimlical."

In an e-mail, they told me they expect Pimlical to come to Android (being Java based) relatively soon.

I would wait until they give a date, "relatively soon" can become "delayed until 2011" at any time.

OP - I know this is an old thread, but you do know how awesome Google Calendar (for web) is right? I used to use the Palm Desktop calendar even after ditching my palm years ago. It was a great PIM, but Google Calendar is even better. The device doesn't yet mimic it but, having the autosync pretty much makes this a moot point.

Quick example...I had a non-random baseball and soccer schedule to input, and I was dreading it. Then I found someone else I knew whose calendar I share had already done that. I quickly copied each event to my calendar and about 10 minutes later was done. (all on my pc, not the phone) but in 10 min and 1 sec later they were all on my device thanks to wireless auto sync.

I don't even use the Palm Desktop Calendar, I just need the grid / drag+drop interface of Datebook / DateBK.

Working in a lab where my experiments don't always go according to schedule, I end up revising my schedule (via drag and drop) 3 or 4 times a day easily.

I'll look into Google Calendar. The thing is, I'm not always at my computer - but my PDA is always with me.

The nice thing about using google calendar (if it works for you) is that the phone and PC will be(can be) constantly kept in sync (automatically or manually)
