Help Calendar question

Pattie

Newbie
I am using the stock calendar app, which I really like, but when I make a new appointment and invite someone through their Gmail account, and they accept, they can't edit the appointment to add a notification or make the notification longer.

For example, I created a calender item to drop off my kid at school, and put my husband's Gmail address as a participant because he's actually doing the drop off. He accepts the invitation, it appears on his calendar, but he can't add a reminder. On our old android phones we could (using stock calendar as well). Anyone know a way around this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

What calendar did you create the event in? Was it My Calendar or the one associated with your Gmail account.

Where is this My Calendar app? I can't find it.

I think the stock version is just called 'Calendar'.

Bottom right icon that looks like a grid of blocks brings up all of the apps that came with the phone plus downloads you added. You will find it there some where.

Hold down on the app and drag it to the menu bar so it is easily found.

The Play Store of course will have more apps than can be reviewed in a week's time. I have no experience with any of them.

I've looked and see no calendar app that was on the phone when I got it. I'm with Rogers and wonder if they removed it? I just have S planner showing. I've downloaded pocket informant which I used on iPhone and it works well too. It's just that when I add an event to S planner it says that it dues by sync with Google or something that I have to use My Calendar.

not exactly sure if this helps you but its the best I got. when you open your calendar from the apps (not a widget) click on the three dot menu top right corner then click on "calendars" this will show the different calendar accounts you have on your phone. you can manage what calendars shows up.

I had a problem with android syncing to outlook unless I used "my calendars."
