Calendar Sync Problems

I have a Samsung Fascinate Android phone. I am using the standard calendar with it which should work fine, except I am having syncing problems going from my phone to my desktop app. If I enter an event from the desktop, it shows up just fine on my mobile device, but not vice versa. Is there a problem with this calendar app or is something with Google calendar? Will other apps perform better in this regard? I also noticed a problem with Google sites on my desktop. I set up my original Google calendar under the main google.com site. I have various calendars added such as local sports teams schedules. However, when I go to the iGoogle page and click on Calendars, none of that info is displayed even though I am logged in. It is also no showing up on my mobile. Anyone know what is going on with that?

On your phone, when you create an event, it should be a "Google Event", and not a "Phone Event". Google events will sync with your gmail, while phone events wont.

Thanks, that worked for that. Buy why are the other events I have on my desktop calendar like the sports schedules not showing up on my mobile and the iGoogle page?

Sports calendars from gmail dont sync with the phone. Its a known issue, there are a few threads on here about it. For some reason, gmail doesnt let you add those sports calendars to your main Google Calendar. Since they are not on your Google Calendar, they dont sync with your phone.

Have you tried opening the calendar then tapping on the menu key, go to more and then calendars. Make sure that all are visible and synced.
