Calendar Sync Without Email Google Account

I have a GS4 from ATT for personal phone with my gmail/calendar. I have just been issued a Droid Max from Verizon for my work phone. I have added the gmail account to the Max with the intent of syncing my calendar into it only, but it also synced the email as well. Is there a setting that will stop it from pulling my email but still sync the calendar on the work phone? Thanks in advance.

Settings > Google Accounts > Select account > Select items to sync.
