Calendar synced from Outlook.com app disappears

I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 with Android v2.3.3 and have a problem with synced calendars.

Calendars on the Gmail account that the phone is registered to will not sync at all despite being registered under Accounts & Sync in Settings.

I can sync the calendars on my Outlook.com app (formerly the Hotmail app) however after a seemingly random period of time they disappear and cannot be viewed via the android calendar app on the phone. When this happens the account can no longer be seen on Accounts & Sync. However, if the Add Account option is selected to reinstate the to Accounts & Sync status a message saying 'account already registered' appears. The calendar can be reinstated only by uninstalling and reinstalling the Outlook.com app. E-mail functions are not affected and remain in operation when the account is not displayed under Accounts & Sync.

I am not sure whether there is a software conflict between icalendars or similar and my version of android. Can anyone help?

Hi Boat_La_Gingar ...

Welcome aboard. This issue has been on ongoing problem for awhile now. Checkout Google help page for assistance ... hopefully they've posted some sort of solution for this.

I had this problem before, but after doing a 'full reset' of the device...things seem to be working the way it should.

P.s. You might wanna checkout your device's support forum for further assistance.

Thanks very much Rush. It's good to know that I'm not alone. I had been toying with the idea of a full reset, I think I'll probably give that a try :)
