Help Calendar weirdness after 4.4.2 update?

Hi. My AT&T GS3 updated to 4.4.2 over the weekend. Overall, the update seems okay. So far, I haven't had any of the WiFi issues that some folks have reported and my battery life seems to have improved.

However, I'm seeing some weirdness with calendar notifications. For example, I have a calendar entry for 9:00AM each Monday morning with a reminder set for 12-hours prior. Thus, I should get a reminder notification at 9:00pm each Sunday evening. This has worked flawlessly for as long as I've owned the phone (close to 2 years now). Until now.

Today, I didn't get the reminder until 11:00pm. The fact that the reminder occurred precisely 2 hours later than it should have occurred which suggests perhaps some sort of timezone problem. However, calendar app settings and phone global settings both agree on the correct timezone (Eastern...GMT -4:00).

Anybody else seen this?

I don't use stock alarm clock but but samsung has that dual time zone clock the problem might be with that somehow. Like i said i don't use the stock clock at all.

The stock alarm clock actually seems to work fine -- I have a couple daily alarms that still go off at the correct time.

It's the stock calendar reminder notifications that appear to be hosed. Say you create a calendar entry for a dentist appt a few months from now and you want to be reminded a few hours before the actual appt. I haven't done much experimentation on 4.4.2 because I've only had one event reminder since the upgrade but if this failure holds true then it seems the calendar can no longer be trusted to deliver reminders at the correct times.

Sorry don't use stock calendar either. I use business calendar pro works perfectly has great widgets too. Oh yea free version works great also.
