How to delete events on your calendar

Hi, welcome to Android Forums.
You haven't included you device details, however on my HTC One I long press the event and an option pop-up appears, one of the options is delete.
In Google Calendar, tapping the event will produce the options.
Hopefully one of these actions will work for you, if not, please repost your question, including your device and calendar details (if you're using other than stock or Google calendar).
