Help Calender, not loading correctly

Hey everyone, I am hoping someone can reason this out for me as I as well as US Cell is lost.
I was double syncing my mezmerize calender with google calender and outlook, only to discover that it crashed my calenders and when further inspecting, is not recommended. Therefore, when I deleted the double sync so it would only work with my google calender has now caused another issue.
I can sync fine, however, when I try to view my month calender where the appointments show below, only some of the time they are visable, the rest they show not appointments when I KNOW there are. I have been having to select list or day view for them to show.
This has all been since I deleted the double sync which also DELETED ALL my appointments and had to MANUALLY enter 40 of them after calling all my hair clients to find out when they were scheduled to begin with.
I know, Im rambling, but this is frustrating! I dont want to reload the google calender app in case it deletes them all again as I got the phone in December and thats alot of appts to re enter for my accountant.

Can anyone help me resolve this?
I would be forever grateful!
Kim

Also- my member informations says I have offered no Thanks, but I have always thanked those who have helped me. Is there a proper way of doing this so you all do not think I am ungrateful?

I sync outlook with my google calendar using the calendar sync application you download to your PC. It syncs outlook in the background. That way you only have to sync to your google calendar on your phone. You can download the sync file from http://dl.google.com/googlecalendarsync/GoogleCalendarSync_Installer.exe

As far as giving thanks in the forums, you have to click the "Thanks" button in the lower right hand corner of the person's response. If you do it properly, a box will appear under their response that lets you know that you Thanked their post.

Thanks LaTuFU, however, I think that is the link I went thru when I set up the outlook calender, actually, the tech guy from US Cellular came over to my office and did it for me.
But the initial issues I had were that I had appointments duplicating, once that was fixed, then I began to notice a random appointment disappearing after it synced, then one day there were several, US CEll couldnt discern why. Thats when I discovered google didnt always like outlook and could cause data loss, thus leading to my huge loss of data when I tried to delete it. I must be the only person this has happened to.... If I have done something wrong in that process, please tell me, cause I would MUCH rather use outlook calender. Or maybe, he downloaded some other google sync program that Im not aware of, I just cannot afford to have another disaster with my calender.

My question for you is, how do you enter appointments into your Calendar? i.e. do some of them get entered into your Google Calendar (via web browser on PC or your Phone App) or do you always enter them on your Outlook Calendar?

I have not had any catastrophic calendar losses like you describe. However, I only enter new appointments into Outlook, and then allow the sync to take it from there to my phone. I do not enter appointments from my phone. I use the phone's calendar app purely as an extension of my Outlook Calendar when I am away from the office. If I need to add an appointment to my Calendar, I email myself an appointment request, then add it to the Calendar when I return to work.

I don't use this process because of any shortcomings of Google or the stock Android Calendar (that I am aware of, anyway). I do it this way because I find that I do not "drop the ball" on many appointments if I use one consistent process for keeping a Calendar.

The reason I say all of this to you is that a possible reason for your data loss is that you may have your sync set up in such a way that if you make changes to your Calendar in both places, at some point the sync may be getting confused and "batch" deleting items.

I've had no problems keeping my phone calendar sync'd, so you may want to try it this way, if you aren't doing it already.

I hope those ideas help you.

Yes, well, it sort of helps.... I pretty much enter all of my appointments directly into my phone and not pc calender as I am booking appointments in my hair salon, or thru my other business, a sign shop, I dont know if that is why there were so many issues. I COULD try to email an appointment reminder to enter on my PC, but that will defeat my sole purpose of the phone calender.

That may work too. I would suggest only entering your appointments from your phone. (reverse of my process) Make sure that your google sync is set up for 2-way sync, and that it is accessing the same google account that your phone is set up to use.

Last but not least, you may want to look at some other calendar apps for your phone. There may or may not be anything wrong with the stock calendar, but my experience has been, if I have problems with a stock app, its been easier to DL a third party custom app than try to fight with the stock app. Now that I think about it, I don't know that I am even using the Calendar app. I use the Calendar widget that comes with LauncherPro Plus, which looks at Google Calendar, not the stock app, iirc.

Aha, so you are not using the stock calender... maybe this is the problem! So, if I buy the launcher pro plus, I will just sync that calender to my google one and eliminate the stock one and better yet, do the outlook sync that you mentioned before and I might be having bliss for my calender operations?
Would you be willing to help me out with this?
I need a savior.....:D

Upon further review...

I use the widget in LPP, so I never look into the stock app itself. It is updating itself with my Google calendar, however. I would say try setting up your google sync, make sure that it is set up for 2-way sync with your Outlook Calendar. Make sure that it is set up with the same google account that you are using with your phone. Set appointments on your phone only for a few days and see if it maintains your schedule.

LPP is basically just a skin that pulls the info from the different apps, so if the sync isn't working properly, LPP isn't going to correct that.

I'm happy to help if I can.
