Call Blocker for Android

Hi Dibesh :ciao: Welcome to AF!!!! We're glad you took the time to register with our site.

You should be able to go to a specific number on your contact list and then into setting. Once you are in the settings/edit area for that contact you will have the option to send all calls to voice mail. If that doesn't go far enought for you most cell prodivers give you the ability to block specific numbers in you personal account with them.

Hope that helps and thanks again for registering!

I don't have voicemail, I find it useless. I want a call blocker that just hangs up after I enter the number the 1st time. Half the spammers don't bother to leave VM anyway.

I'm back to "spammer" with a silent ring in contacts. When I go thru all the possible devices, the next listing will be F***ing spammer, then whatever other obscenity I feel like using.

Blacklist can actually act as a white list. If it is not in your contacts, it never rings

I don't have voice mail either, but if I set blockers to push to VM, they just get disconnected. Lol.

In my contacts is a listing for Zjunk. The ringtone for that "person" is no ring tone. Silence.

Anyone I don't want to hear from gets their number added to the Zjunk contact, and forever after that number never rings. At present Zjunk includes about fifty phone numbers.

(oh yes - I called it Zjunk so that it sits at the very bottom of the contact list where I'll never see it.)

That's how I operated before I used a call blocker app. It was a million times better than those calls ringing but then I had missed call notifications and voice mails.

Every time I got a call I didn't want I'd add its number to that contact. Having it at the end of the list meant I just gave it one big flick and it scrolled right to the appropriate listing. I still use that one contact, but now it's the only one in the list in my call blocker app.

I just list them as obscenities in contacts. Works just as well. The main problem is that spammers spoof numbers and you wind up getting a file full of non repeated numbers. Heather and Rachel call from a new number each time. I can go back and delete after the usual length of time they use a certain number.

I am rooted, and did try a call blocker. Found my method easier. I catagorize by ringtones so the only time I have to check is if I hear "Cocaine" which is for unknowns. Since I know the area codes most likely to call me, anything outside is 99% spam.

I don't sync with Google contacts - wonder what they'd think of a contact called MFer? A TMO rep told me I had the rudest phone he'd ever seen, and this was before Android!
