Call History/Log app...

Hi All

Looking for a call history app that can do history via phone number.

I.e. on my old HTC Desire HD, i would receive a phone call (or missed call) from an unknown number, it would be very easy for me to click into Call History, then click on the number and see a history for that phone number.

I have since upgraded to a Galaxy Note 2, when i get a missed call I click on the number and it only shows me history for the day, if I want to see any other history prior to today, i need to add the unknown number into my contacts, then i can see the history of that contact.

This is annoying, as I don't want to add every phone number into my contacts.

I've downloaded about 10x 3rd party call log/history apps from the play store, and none of them can do this, the closest I have seen is one that will give me history for unknown number, but this doesn't help as it groups all unknown numbers together.

Where I live land line calls are free, so we get a lot of phone spam.

Is anyone aware of an app that can do this simple task or maybe I just haven't worked out how to do it on the Samsung?

Of course, it only works if the number is shown when the call comes in

I use DW Contacts (on my Desire HD running Jelly Bean, funnily enough ...) and that seems to do what you want. You get the complete history (or, at least what it has in its memory, which isn't that much for me as I keep changing ROMs) with each number and when you were called/you called it. The summary groups them all together at first, you have to then drill down to see what you want.

Thanks will give these apps a go.

After downloading over 20 call log type apps I found 2 that could do what i want (Call Tags & CLM), although I'll check these out to see which has a nicer interface.

I just downloaded "Dialer One" and it sorts call history by contact, then you can hold down on the contact and a window will pop up showing all out/in calls by date/time for that contact. exactly what I wanted.
