call history question.....?

I understand how to clear call history... but what are all those phone numbers that are displayed behind the phone's dialer pad if not call history? Is there a way to clear those or not have them display? thanks

It is the recent call list. I am looking on how to clear.

It is related to call history, just delete call history or you can press and hold from the recent list and select Delete from call history

It's a combination of your recent calls and your contacts. You'll notice that if you scroll down enough you'll see a break and at this point your contacts display...if you just recently cleared your call history they are probably all contacts. As far as I know there is no way to turn this off.
