Help Call notification after hanging up?

Hey everybody
Newbie here just bought my galaxy s and love it.

Waned to ask though 2 questions:

1. After closing a call i get options to either call again or sms. its annoying, is it possible to remove it?

2. how do i update to 2.2 when it becomes official? does it have to be through a pc? i see no option in my phone to update.

Hi,

I dont know then answer to Q#1 - but it drives me crazy also.

The "status" screen stays on for to long - I would like to either remove it or make it more brief,

problem with it is even though you lock the screen right after a call it will unlock and go to the main screen
